Welcome Word from the Ambassador Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa

It is my great honor to be Qatar's Ambassador to Australia, working to strengthen the longstanding relations between our two countries, where the relations indicate a promising future due to our two countries’ endeavors to strengthen their relations in all political, economic and social fields and due to the wise Qatari diplomatic efforts to improve relations of the State of Qatar on regional and international levels, and play a pioneering role in international efforts and endeavors maintaining peace, security and stability in the Middle East and other regions of the world.

It is my privilege and pleasure that the strengthening of our relations is not confined to the governmental levels only, rather it includes the peoples-to-people’s levels. For example, the number of Australians living in Qatar is estimated at 5,000 Australian and the aviation links between our two countries are witnessing a remarkable growth where Qatar Airways is flying regular direct flights to four major Australian cities (Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Adelaide) and Hassad Australia’s investments have achieved good achievements in various parts of Australia.

The Embassy looks forward to work diligently on exerting all efforts aiming to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between our two countries, serving the interests of our two friendly peoples.
