The Embassy of the State of Qatar celebrated Qatar’s National Day in Canberra today. A number of Australian officials from all sectors attended the celebration. Ambassadors, members of diplomatic missions, leaders of the Arab and Islamic community in Australia, a number of representatives of different chambers of commerce, representatives of Australian companies, and a number of media and Australian Academic institutions have attended as well. The Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Lyndall Sachs gave her best wishes to His Highness the Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the people of Qatar. On the other hand, HE Saad Al-Mahmood wished more prosperity to Australia its people, and more development and growth to bilateral relations between Qatar and Australia.
