Beneficiaries of this service:

Qatari Citizens residing overseas on scholarships, receiving medical care, prior consent is required.

Requirements:

  • In person or as a legal guardian, citizen can apply for a new passport including supporting documents.
  • A complete and signed application form.
  • Attach copy of the police report for the lost passport.
  • Attach a copy the original passport.
  • Attach (3) personal photos with grey background, photo size should be (4.8X 3.5).
  • New Passport will be handed in person.

A passage permit can be issued to Qatari citizens to return to Qatar if they lost their passports and for new born Qatari citizen overseas.

Service Procedures:

  • Request the Passage Permit by a letter addressed to the Head of the Mission.
  • Attached copy of passport and Qatar Personal ID showing the national number.
  • X2 personal photos.
  • For the New born, please attach copy of the parents ID cards showing the national number.
  • Copy of Birth Certificate certified by the local authority.
  • The Passage Permit will be issued upon the Embassy’s receiving approval from the concerned authorities of the State of Qatar.
  • The validity of the Permit is three months from the date of issue and it is suitable for one travel and to only return to the State of Qatar.

Passage Permit (Travel Permit) for Qatari Citizen

A passage permit for newly- born Qatari babies abroad.

Beneficiaries of this service:

            Qatari citizen’s newly-born babies.

Service Procedures:

  • The Qatari mission abroad addresses the department of nationality and passports in the Ministry of Interior, after receiving the reply, a passage permit will be issued with an approval reference.
  • Passage permits are valid for three months from the date of issuance.
  • Passage permits are valid for only one entry and to the State of Qatar only.

Terms and requirements:

  • Copy of the passport or identity card of the parents showing the ID number.
  • (2) Personal photos.
  • Copy of the birth certificate attested by the official authorities and by the Mission.

Service fees:

(50) Qatari riyals

The mission of the State of Qatar can issue a general or private authorization.

Beneficiaries of the service:

Qatari citizens living overseas, permanently or temporarily.

 

 Service Procedures:

  • Attending in person and submit request for the Official Authorisation.
  • Elderly citizens or persons with special needs are exempted from appearing before the mission, instead the mission will visit them to complete procedures.
  • Attaching a copy the passport or current identity card showing the national Number.

Issuance of Official Authorisation for Qatari Citizens

This certificate can be issued to Qatari citizens upon request.

Qatari citizens overseas for study or medical treatment or other purposes.

  • Address the request in writing the Head of Mission stating the purpose of Certificate.
  • Attach a copy of Qatari passport or Qatar identity card.
  • Provide details of residency overseas, in case of travelling for medical treatment or study ect.

Issuance of Certificate To Whom It May Concern for Qatari Citizens

Transporting dead bodies of Qatari citizens back to the State of Qatar.

Beneficiaries of this service:

Deceased Qatari citizens outside the State of Qatar.

Service Procedures:

  • Relative of the deceased should notify the mission of the State of Qatar on the death of the citizen.
  • The mission will take necessary actions to transport the body to the State of Qatar.
  • Original passport and validated documents relating to his death should be submitted to the mission.
  • Notify the Department of Consular Affairs about the Date and time of sending the body to make arrangement with the airport.

Terms and requirements::

  • The mission is to send by mail documents related to the deceased consisting of:
  • A copy of the passport.
  • A copy of the death certificate.
  • A copy of the post-mortem report (and any other documents).

Visas

Beneficiaries of this service:

Official delegations. 

Service Description:

The Service is to provide an official visa for official delegations, except for those  exempted from visas, to meet with officials from the Amiri Diwan, the ministry of foreign affairs, and officials from ministries, governmental authorities and institutions, or to attend conferences held by ministries, authorities or institutions 

Terms and requirements:

  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities within (24) hours of data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa can be extended for a similar period for multiple times.

Beneficiaries of this service:

Businessmen and known commercial figures. 

Service Description:

The Service is to provide a business visa for businessmen and known commercial figures, to visit Qatar to improve investment relations between their countries and the State of Qatar. 

Terms and requirements:

  • Businessmen should provide the mission with evidence proving that they are businessmen, unless they were known commercial figures.
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities within (24) hours of data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa can be extended for a similar period ( for maximum three months).

Visa fees:

200 QR.


Beneficiaries of this service:

Tourists. 

Service Description:

The service is to provide a visit visa for tourists, to visit Qatar and explore its monuments of historic, commercial, architectural and cultural value . 

Terms and requirements:

  • Applicants should provide a bank statement for the previous three months, showing a minimum balance of 5,000 QR, financially capable applicants known by the mission, are exempted from this condition.
  • It is recommended to have a hotel reservation in the state of Qatar in a four or five star hotel.
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities within (24) hours of data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa cannot be extended.

Visa fees:

200 QR.


Beneficiaries of this service:

GCC residents. 

Service Description:

The Service is to provide GCC residents with approved professions a visit visa to enter Qatar. 

Terms and requirements:

  • Applicants should provide a GCC residentship valid for six months ( three months minimum) .
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities immediately after data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa can be extended for a period of three months.

Visa fees:

100 QR.


Beneficiaries of this service:

Companions of GCC citizens such as maids, drivers and baby-sitters. 

Service Description:

The Service is to provide an entry visa for the companions of GCC citizens to visit the country with their sponsors.

Terms and requirements:

  • Applicants should provide a GCC residentship valid for six months (three months minimum) for the companions of GCC citizens such as maids, drivers and baby-sitters (under the sponsorship of the gulf citizen) .
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities immediately after data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa can be extended for a similar period (three months maximum).

Beneficiaries of this service:

Travelers who plan to stop over in Qatar  in their way for  a third destination. 

Service Description:

Travelers who plan to stop over in Qatar in their way for a third destination, the visa is valid for (2) days.

 

Terms and requirements:

  • This Visa doesn’t apply for travelers passing through Qatar, these passing - through travelers don’t require a visa, and will be allowed to enter the country if their transit time is more than six hours, with a commitment from the airlines company.
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities immediately after data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for (1) one month from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of (2) two days from the date of entry.
  • This visa cannot be extended.

Visa fees:

100 QR.


Beneficiaries of this service:

Residents of the 33 approved countries. 

Service Description:

The Service is to provide residents of the 33 approved countries with an entry visa to visit Qatar first and then visit Oman.

Terms and requirements:

  • Applicants should provide a bank statement for the previous three months, showing a minimum balance of 5,000 QR, financially capable applicants known by the mission, are exempted from this condition.
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for residents of the 33 approved countries immediately after data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for (1) one month from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of (1) one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa cannot be extended.

Visa fees:

100 QR.


Beneficiaries of this service:

The nationals of Turkey, Poland, Hungary and Cyprus. 

Service Description:

This service enables the nationals of Turkey, Poland, Hungary and Cyprus to obtain an immediate tourist visa to enter the State of Qatar.

Terms and requirements:

  • Applicants should provide a bank statement for the previous three months, showing a minimum balance of 5,000 QR, financially capable applicants known by the mission, are exempted from this condition.
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for the nationals of Turkey, Poland, Hungary and Cyprus immediately after data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for (1) one month from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of (1) one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa cannot be extended.

100 QR.

Beneficiaries of this service:

All Nationalities. 

Service Description:

This service enables all nationalities (except GCC citizens) to enter the State of Qatar.

Terms and requirements:

  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities (except GCC citizens).
  • The visa is valid for (3) three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of (1) one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa can be extended for a similar period (six months maximum).

Visa fees:

200 QR per month.


Beneficiaries of this service:

All Nationalities. 

Service Description:

This service enables individuals who previously obtained an electronic visa through the General Directorate of Borders, Passports and Expatriates Affairs to be given  a new visa to enter the country.

Terms and requirements:

  • Some individuals who previously got an electronic visa through the General Directorate of Borders, Passports and Expatriates Affairs might have to visit Qatari Embassies or consulates abroad to stamp the visa on their passports
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • Re-issuance of official visa is exempted.

Visa fees:

200 QR.


Attestation

The Consular Branch of the Embassy of State of Qatar aims to provide a legal authentication of the Commercial Documents for the use in the State Qatar, such as:

MISCELLANEOUS DOCUMENTS 

REPLACEMENT OF LOST QATARI SPECIAL/ SERVICE/ DIPLOMATIC/PASSPORT

For information on the replacement of Qatari lost special/ service/diplomatic passport, please contact the Consular Branch of the Embassy of the State of Qatar.  

The charge for replacement of the passport is $1500.00 (AUD).

Service Description:

It is a service that aims to impart  legal status on  judicial documents for use inside and outside the State of Qatar, including  the following:

  • Judiciary letters and arbitration documents from within the State of Qatar by Supreme judiciary Council.
  • Judiciary letters and arbitration documents from other countries by its concerned legal authorities.

.

Terms and requirements:

The Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or one of its branches (five branches at present and will be eight branches at the beginning of next year) ratify the stamp or Signature of the chamber of commerce or any other ministry or authority approved by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

General instructions:

  • The document applied for attestation must include a group of stamps and signatures ending with a stamp and signature approved by Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • The authorities of the Government of the State of Qatar are responsible for ratification of documents issued by them, as well as copies of those documents.
  • Qatar chamber of commerce approves stamps and signatures of some translation offices.
  • If the information on an attested document or any of its signatures or stamps, turns out to be incorrect, the attestation will be considered void and null, in which case the department of consular affairs will reserve the right to file claims to the concerned authorities in Qatar.
  • The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its affiliates are not responsible for the contents of the document. However, they 'll refuse to ratify any document that its content proves to be contrary to the regulations of the State of Qatar.

The Consular Branch of the Embassy of State of Qatar aims to provide a legal authentication of the Educational documents/ certificates issued by Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Countries for the use in the State Qatar.

Qatari Citizens, Citizens and residents of Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Countries.

Requirements of the process:

1. Original testamur/certificate/ final academic transcripts, must be authenticated by the Department /Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.

2.  A copy of the passport of the applicant.

3. Consent letter (Download here).

Completion letter should include: 

a. Name of the person to whom the certificate/ testamur has been granted

b. Name of the degree/qualification.

c. Confirmation of the status of the institution ie governmental or private.

d. Confirmation of the mode of study – full-time or part-time and on-campus or online.

e. The campus where the study was undertaken.

f. The campus where examinations were held.

g. The duration of the education program.

h. The actual time taken by the person to complete the study and obtain the degree/qualification, including the start date and the end date of the study. 

Note: This letter must be authenticated by the Department/Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Country. 

*Any qualification completed through online study, distance study or external study will not be authenticated.

For citizens and residents of Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Countries who had resided in Qatar in the past.

To apply for a verification of Qatari Driving Licence, the following must be provided:

An application to validate educational certificates issued in Qatar to residents who graduated from schools or universities of Qatar, in order to use these certificates for studies or work in other countries .

Beneficiaries of this service:

Previous residents who left Qatar permanently. 

Service Description:

Qatar’s Diplomatic and Consulate missions abroad will send the application to the directorate of consular affairs, which in turn 'll send it to the concerned department (supreme educational council or the concerned university), and sends the reply to the mission after receiving it.

Documents from the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Countries.


To apply for a PCC from Qatar, the following must be provided:

  • Application form to be completed in block letters. (Downloaded here).
  • Clear, colour copies of the relevant pages of the applicant’s current passport and previous passport/s relating to residency in Qatar.
  • Original set of full fingerprints obtained from the Police Authorities of the above mentioned Counties countries and they are needed to be authenticated by the Department/Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the country.
  • Include four recent passport-size photographs.
  • If the applicant was born in Qatar, a copy of the birth certificate must be included.
  • Payment of $105.00(AUD) by Bank Cheque, Bank Transfer or Money Order.
  • Incomplete documents will be returned without authentication.
  • Include a self-addressed pre-paid registered or express mail for the return of the document/s.
  • Ensure the correct amount of fees is made, as over- payment of less $100 will not be refunded.

*Please Note: Police Clearance Document is issued by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar and it takes about 8-12 Weeks from the date of receiving the document by the MOI.

Travel with medicine to Qatar

Regulations regarding permission for narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and psychotropic drugs, for personal use

 

Firstly - narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, psychotropic drugs carried by patients leaving Qatar:

 

1. It is prohibited to carry medication and substances that are banned internationally and locally.

2. It is prohibited to carry the medicines listed in List A and List B of Table I which are subject to Law No. (9) of the year 1987 regarding countering narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

3. The application of permission shall be submitted to the Pharmacy and Drug Control Department at the Ministry of Public Health, attaching;

4.  A detailed medical report or a prescription provided that it is approved by the patient’s treatment institution and issued within the last six months. The prescription or report should contain the following information:

1- Patient's full name, his age and address
2- Treating doctor’s name, address and phone number
3 - Date of prescription or report
4. Medical diagnosis
5- Treatment plan and duration
6. Medical recommendations
7- Scientific name of medicine, its pharmaceutical form, the prescribed dose, the quantity required.
8. The medical institution’s  stamped shall be stamped clearly on the medical report or prescription
9 - The medical report or prescription must be on a piece of paper issued by the patient's medical institution, clearly indicating its address and the contact numbers


5. Undertaking to limit the use of treatment to the patient only and at his own risk
6. Attach a copy of the patient's passport
7. Prescription medicines, dangerous psychotropic substances and psychoactive medicines must be in their original packaging.

8. Narcotic substances, and psychoactive medicines must be in their original packaging.

9. Psychoactive substances are allowed for a maximum of two months of treatment

, provided that the medicine is valid during that period.


10. If the medicine is not in the possession of the patient, but in the possession of one of his relatives (father, mother, brothers, husband, wife), a copy of the relative’s identification card shall be taken. If the medicine is in possession of a person acting on behalf of the patient, the authorization attach a copy of the persons’ identification card.
11. If the quantity of medication required exceeds the patient's need, the remaining quantity will be destroyed by the Department of Pharmacy and Drug Control at the Ministry of Public Health.
